April Update

Well, April was a bit of a mixed bag for me. On one hand I finished the third book in my new series, however I hit a block when it came to the novella so I decided to go back to book one and start editing. I absolutely hated the first few chapters which was super disheartening. So I decided the best course of action was to bury my head and kindle in the sand and just read instead.


So my writing went nowhere, BUT I read some amazing books! Here are a few I loved:



Recurve by Shannon Mayer

I knew I would enjoy this since I love the Rylee Adamson series and I connect to Mayer’s writing. I didn’t expect to completely fall in love with this story, the characters and the world. Wow. Incredible. I can’t bring myself to read book two yet just so I can savior this a little bit more.




Dating A Dragon by Georgette St. Clair

I’ve read a few dragon stories, but I loved the world and rules Georgette created for this one. These dragons were so interesting and the forbidden love that was the center of this story was so wonderfully written. I am glad to hear she will be entering this world again soon and I can’t wait to read more.



Lead by Kylie Scott

I have love the previous two books in this series and I was pretty nervous going into Jimmy’s book. He was such an ass in the first book that I worried I wouldn’t be able to connect to him. Instead, I think I might just love him the most. Fantastic story, writing and banter. I loved every single page.




Bound In Death by Cynthia Eden

Wow, I was completely hooked on this story right from the heartbreaking beginning to the last page. I was enthralled and riveted to my kindle as this story took over my world. I lived and breathed it and it is my favourite of the series.

Thank You For Your Support!

Hey all! So, I had some grand plans to put up a post to speak about the final book in the In Midsummer series being released. I was going to speak about the series and send out my gratitude to all the readers who embraced these characters and this fictional town. It’s been my most successful series to date. But looking back I realized I never did. I didn’t even post about Loving Love releasing. I think this is what happens when I release so close together. I get burnt out! Four books in four months, and overall, eight books in ten-ish months were a huge undertaking for me. And they were all actually finished last year, so this year I’ve been on a bit of a writing hiatus. (I have still been writing, just not on any kind of schedule. Only when I feel like it. More info on that under the Coming Soon tab!)  So while I missed the boat on posting for Loving Love, I can still send out my gratitude to the readers who gave it a shot. Audiobook Club

  Being a police officer in a small town doesn’t often offer up many surprises. Working the night shift means I rarely see or do much of anything that doesn’t involve a speeding vehicle, or a drunken rant. And, while quiet nights are better than deadly ones, it still takes some getting used to after living in a big city for years. So, I’m rather shocked when I pull over a driver and find the dirtiest audiobook playing from the car speakers. And, paint me intrigued when the hot driver struggles to get the enticing words to stop broadcasting to the entire street. The embarrassing encounter has us both lowering our guard, and I find myself a new friend, one who suggests we start our own audiobook club. Soon, we become more than just friends as we listen and fall into stories and new worlds together and, naturally, the sexy scenes we’re listening to become a blueprint for our own experiences to try … together.
